About
In 2020 I turned in my United Nations badge, deciding to leave the world of advocacy, conflict and war behind. After 10+ years doing field work in conflict zones, and 4+ being a professional women's & LGBTQ+ rights advocate, it was a difficult choice. Equipped with formal training in policy research and analysis and a plethora of related non-profit building skills, yet yearning to fulfill other dreams, I took a huge risk and set my heart on a longtime passion: decorative arts and design.

My Home on Mars was born from a professional and personal desire to bring great design, function and sustainability to as many people as possible.
I’m so pleased to share my collection, accrued over a lifetime and ever-evolving, with fellow humans who are anti-fast fashion, anti-fast furniture, and anti-capitalist. I truly believe that vintage is the future.
My Home on Mars was not created by me, alone. My mother Belinda has been an incredible resource and often second team member on this journey. Here we are at the Cleveland Museum of Art 1970's Ball in winter 2024. Yes, everything I'm wearing is vintage!
Finally, In addition to being a vintage dealer, I am a USPAP-compliant personal property appraiser. Part of that job is determining the value and authenticity of every piece I examine. I'm proud to bring that high standard of ethics, expertise, and research skills to My Home on Mars, allowing peace of mind for all my clients.
Thank you for visiting My Home on Mars, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
