From the Chase Brass and Copper Company, it is my pleasure to present spectacularly preserved a set of the Sentinel Bookends.
With dark maroon bodies and black caps, the Bakelite is in impeccable condition. Where it is not Bakelite, it is solid brass.
Both items are stamped with the Chase logo. The ball next to our sentinel man is beautiful as well.
While not the shiniest ones on the market, definitely some of the best I've ever seen. I did minor restoration but kept the patina, removed only surface debris and gunk.
A true collectors item, a gem for any Art Deco collector. Highly collectible and a super important design from Walter Von Nessen.
Chase Copper & Brass Company started making home decor in the 1930's, which is when these were produced.
