This super large lamp is 32" tall, has a gorgeous bulbous shape and quintessential mid-century modern shaped shaft, made of walnut, and a walnut base. With brass hardware and a Peacock is the first word that comes to mind when I see this piece, the turquoise, cobalt and deep green drip glaze is spectacular. **Must watch the 15 second video, the photos don't do the colors justice!
I acquired it with a shade, which has a big rip in it. I don't think it is the original one because it hides the unique shape of the shaft, but it could be. You can purchase with or without, but without would bring down the price as it decreases shipping costs for me. I do include the original finial, regardless.
Condition: Great for its age. Crazing in some areas, see photos/video. It's not visible unless you're looking for it in my opinion. The cord is in good shape but the outlet plug has seen better days. Works like a charm in any case.
Makers Mark: None. I've seen these sold as Stiffel, some say they're Italian. The truth is there is no way to guarantee either of those things. I can, however, guarantee it was made between 1950 and 1970, and it's emblematic of the 1960's.

Everything from My Home on Mars has been professionally cleaned and restored, and ships with a care sheet specific to the material and time period of each piece. Most things require no special maintenance, but a simple list of "do's and don'ts" ensures your item maintains its condition for years to come.
In addition to being a vintage dealer, I am a USPAP-compliant personal property appraiser. Part of that job, separate from this one, is determining the value and authenticity of every piece I examine. I'm proud to bring that high standard of ethics, expertise, and research skills to My Home on Mars, allowing peace of mind for all my customers.
Don't forget: price includes free shipping :)
