Featuring a rainbow of colors in this iridescent ceramic glaze that shines differently on the black handles and spout, and throughout the rust-colored body and backend. This fascinating piece has a gorgeous patina and I cannot date it precisely. Either its 1980's experimental art pottery, or it is a proper antique, well-loved oil lamp. It can function like a proper oil lamp: water ran through the spout. It would also be a unique tea light holder.
I have never seen anything with this unique of a shape, or weight. It's very heavy! I think the back bulbous end is 100% solid. Would make a great centerpiece or complement on an entry table.
Condition: Stunning patina. No chips in the ceramic, integrity perfectly in tact.
